Elements of Landscape Painting: Clouds

In this instructional video, artist Ryan Delgado will demonstrate his technique for painting clouds. Since clouds are such an ever-changing subject with numerous possibilities for light and color, Ryan will present the fundamental principles and techniques that he utilizes when painting clouds in any context by showing how light and color give clouds their texture and form. In this video, Ryan will also demonstrate and narrate how he uses his materials to apply paint in such a way as to represent clouds in a loose and convincing way.

About Ryan

Ryan Delgado is a representational oil painter from Kansas City, Missouri. He specializes in portrait/figurative and landscape oil painting in the realist tradition, influenced by the Old Masters of the Renaissance through th 19th century. His work has been featured in numerous local and national exhibitions throughout the U.S. in states such as Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, and Texas. He is currently a member artist of the Missouri Valley Impressionist Society, and has previously participated in national exhibitions with the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society.
